Show School Spirit Every Day of the Week All Year Long!

Monday: "Dress Your Best for Success" - Practice College & Career Readiness by looking your best when you begin each week.
Tuesday: "Jefferson Bear Wear" or any combination of our school colors black, white, & red to show your school spirit. 
Wednesday: "Workout Wednesday" - Wear your sweats so you can get up and move during our Jam in a Minute Brain Break for good health.
Thursday: "Mindfulness Thursdays" - Wear Central Bulldog colors gold & maroon or Hale Husky colors green & white to celebrate your journey to graduation while practicing mindfulness throughout the day.
Friday: "Team Spirit Day" - Support your favorite local team by wearing your team gear.  Special "Hot Pink Fridays" will be designated several times during the year to remind us that at Jefferson we want to stamp out bullying.

Please welcome Principal, Quiana Polk!

Quiana Polk has spent her professional career in various school districts including Janesville, Mequon-Thiensville, and Milwaukee Public Schools. After receiving her Bachelor of Science degree in Education from Alverno College in 2002, she joined the staff at Young Leader’s Academy a K-8 school, as a classroom teacher.  In 2010, she began serving as Assistant Principal at Parker High School. 

Quiana received her Doctorate of Education degree in Educational Leadership from National Louis University in 2017.  She has been named principal at Jefferson Elementary School for the 2019-2020 school year.

Quiana has a passion for finding ways to tap into each student’s fullest potential so that they follow their aspirations. “I believe that all students can learn in a positive environment that fosters student creativity, care, concern, guidance, and love,” says Polk. “It’s my belief that an educator’s mission is to ‘reach and teach’ so that school is a safe and enjoyable experience for all students, staff, and parents.”

During her free time, Quiana enjoys spending time with her husband, David, and children Destiny, Desmond, Diana, and Declynn. She also enjoys shopping and traveling.
